NOTICE OF THE 15th ICTAZ AGM, TRAINING, MINI EXPO & CONFERENCE


A. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
This notice serves to inform all the stakeholders that the Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ) will host its 15th Annual General Meeting at Avani Resort in Livingstone on 5th April 2024 starting at 9:00 hrs. https://ictaz.org.zm/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/NOTICE_OF_THE_15TH_ICTAZ_2024_AGM.pdf
Preceding the AGM under a theme: “Innovate, Connect, Transform: Establishing the tech industry as a Key economic Pillar” will be an official opening and a Conference together with sponsors Business to Business (B2B) as well as Business to Consumers (B2C) roundtable business sessions. The conference will be preceded by the CPD training. A mini-expo will also be showcased for the duration of the AGM and Conference. Members are further advised that this is an elective AGM.
Taking place to transact the underlisted business, registration for the AGM will commence on 1st February 2024.

B. NOTICE OF NOMINATIONS – EXECUTIVE COUNCIL ELECTIONS AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE COMMITTEE
This notice also serves as an official announcement for the call for the nominations for the ICTAZ 2024 Executive Council elections as well as the Professional Ethics and Compliance Committee.
The elections will be conducted by the Electoral Committee of ICTAZ in accordance with the Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia Act No. 7 of 2018, Constitution and the Electoral Rules, 2024. Following the resolution by the members at the Annual General Meeting held on 5th May 2023, at Radisson Blu Hotel in Livingstone, the ICTAZ Council has promulgated the Electoral Rules 2024 which were shared with the members and a webinar was hosted by the Registrar for comments.
Take note that the filing of election nominations shall be done from 5th to 9th February 2024 in accordance with the provisions of the ICTAZ constitutions as well as the ICTAZ Electoral Rules, 2024.

    Please note that only members in good standing who meets the requirement as prescribed by the ICTAZ Constitution and the 2024 Electoral Rules, and holds a valid practicing certificate and is registered for the Annual General Meeting at which an election will be conducted shall be eligible to vote.
