The ICT Association of Zambia Chief Executive Officer Mr Chellah Silavwe paid a courtesy call on the Zanaco Chief Executive Officer Ms Mukwandi Chibesakunda with the main objective of driving growth. Zanaco Bank in the recent weeks have received yet another international accolade, having been recognised as the African Company of the Year at the African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) and Best Banking Brand in Zambia by the Global Brands Magazine Awards 2023.
Zanaco’s presence in all 10 provinces of the country provides a basis for collaboration in the association’s future growth plans. ICTAZ forecastes a rapid growth in registered professional membership from the current 4,000. Mr Silavwe congratulated the Zanaco CEO and her team for the multiple of successes scored and the support being rendered in ensuring the adoption of technology based solutions.
Zanaco Chief Information Officer officer Joseph Shiku and the bank’s Head Strategy Mutinta Tembo were part of the meeting that has established a commitment towards further collaboration around investment, professional development and growth of the IT sector. The ICTAZ CEO further highlighted the opportunity presented by the up-coming International ICT Expo to shine the spotlight on digital technology.
He said many institutions, such as Zanaco, had invested heavily into digital platforms and the 2023 ICTAZ International ICT Expo is an opportunity for the members of the public to familiarise themselves with the advances being made.
The ICT Association of Zambia will be hosting the second annual International ICT Tech Expo at Lusaka’s Mulungushi International Conference Centre from 30th August to 1st September under the theme Building Digital Resilience : Policy, Infrastructure and Skills.
In recent months, Zanaco has extended the reach of their Innovation Hub to scholars and tech entrepreneurs and have supported various tech innovation activities. The bank supported the 2023 ICTAZ AGM and Student Chapter Hackathon. It is on the backdrop of the common agenda, to have a prosperous nation supported by resources and skills, that ICTAZ and Zanaco will collaborate.
