The substantive amendments introduced by the draft guidelines include:
- Risk-based classification framework
- Streamlined Type Acceptance
- Provisions for Post-Clearance Compliance
- Formal Quarantine period for seized apparatus
- Mandatory publication obligations; and
- Expanded Labelling Requirements
