The Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ) president Dr Clement Sinyangwe has made a presentation at the 2024 Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) 27th Convention being held under the theme: HR Transformation Embracing New Trends.
The convention, that brought together hundreds of HR practitioners, was held in Livingstone at the Avani Hotel and was officiated by the Secretary to the Cabinet Mr Patrick Kangwa.
Dr Sinyangwe’s presentation titled Digital HR: Adapting to remote and hybrid work environment highlighted the integration of SMART platforms in the modern workplace. Highlighting how the use of software for time tracking, project management, and performance evaluation.
The ICTAZ president highlighted that HR practitioners should approach hybrid and remote work as a strategic opportunity to enhance employee engagement, productivity, and well-being. Advising that clear policies, training and fostering a culture of trust would maximize success.
He noted that effective remote work required training to develop skills around self-management, time management, digital collaboration, and virtual communication.
Integrating technology into HR practices is expected to enhance employee experience, streamline processes, and enable data-driven decision-making.
He called on HR practitioners to ensure compliance of the ICTAZ Act by having all staff undertaking ICT roles to be registered and subscribed members.
