The Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ) will hold an Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) on the 24th – 25th November, 2022 at the Courtyard Hotel in Livingstone and will be held under the theme “A New Era for Digital Innovation & Entrepreneurship Opportunities for All.”
ICTAZ is a corporate body established by an Act of Parliament; ICTAZ Act No. 7 of 2018 of the Laws of Zambia to provide for the registration of Information and Communications Technology professionals and regulate their professional conduct in the interest of the information and communications technology sector.
The (ICTAZ) was established by an Act of parliament; ICTAZ Act no. 7 of 2018 of the laws of Zambia to provide for the registration of Information and Communications Technology professionals and regulate their professional conduct in the interest of the information and communications technology sector. Section 3(1) of the Act renamed the Computer Society of Zambia registered under the Societies Act to the Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia.
During the 2021 Annual General Meeting it was proposed that the ICTAZ Constitution be revised.
The initial Town Hall Meeting to review the Constitution was held on Tuesday 26 July 2022 at NIPA Convention Centre and virtually, where proposed submissions were made and debated.
Following the Second Town Hall Meeting to review the ICTAZ Constitution held on Saturday 10 September 2022, a revised Constitution was developed.
The Extra-ordinary General meeting will adopt the amended clauses.
